Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about how the product behaves, including where it deliberately refuses to guess.
Yes. The trial length is set per plan and no card is required. A tenant created on a trial starts in a trialing state with a dated trial end; it is never silently marked as a paying customer.
The subscription moves to past due, then to a grace period of the configured number of days, during which the hotel keeps working. After the retry limit the scheduler suspends the account and the hotel can settle the invoice from the billing screen to restore access immediately.
No. A payment only becomes successful after the provider confirms it server-side, either through a verification call or a signature-checked webhook. The frontend is never trusted, and duplicate callbacks are de-duplicated by provider event id.
Availability is re-checked inside the booking transaction and the candidate room rows are locked with
SELECT ... FOR UPDATE, so two simultaneous confirmations serialise instead of both passing the check. This is covered by a concurrency test.A clearly-labelled test adapter that simulates a provider end to end, including failure, timeout and duplicate-callback paths, so the whole pipeline can be exercised offline. It refuses to run in production and every transaction it produces is stamped as a test record.
Only where an adapter exists and real credentials are configured. Until then the channel is present but inactive, and the dashboard says so rather than implying a live connection.
Every tenant-owned table carries a tenant id and a global scope constrains all queries to the active tenant. If no tenant is bound the scope returns no rows rather than every hotel's rows, and saving a record owned by another tenant raises an authorisation error.
Yes, and historical documents are unaffected: a finalised invoice stores a snapshot of the tax rates, prices and customer details that applied when it was issued.
The system is accounting-ready: it posts balanced journal entries, maintains ledgers and produces financial reports. Statutory filing for a specific jurisdiction is only claimed where a local module has been configured.
